The NorthEast coalition has a very exciting and interesting lineup of speakers for the next 6 months.
On January 18th we will host Vice chairman of the County Commission Harold Cogdell to speak on and answer your questions about the new crime initiative and how the money will be spent and how it will effect us all.February 15th - Councilman Anthony Foxx And Police Chief Rodney Monroe will be our guest speakers - Councilman Foxx will be speaking on what he sees in the year ahead for Charlotte.March 15th - Head of transit Keith Parker -will speak on light rail and what our prospects are for our area to see the lite rail and the North line. He will be joined by Ned Curran Chairman of The Committee of 21 to tell us about roads and the work the committee has done on setting our priorities identifying funding and how we hope to obtain this funding.April 19th - as promised Mayor Pat McCrory will return to us with a State of Charlotte report. We will also honor the Mayor for his dedication vision and foresight in his tenure as Mayor.May 17th - brings us what should be a exciting afternoon, We will have a round table of talk show hosts, Newscasters and reporters to speak on the vision of Charlotte, where did it go after Hugh McColl retired, who filled the gap if anyone? Who really runs Charlotte and the inside story of what happens here.On June the 14th, we again will have state, county, and city elected officials in a round table to speak on what they see is coming in the near future for us all and what their priorities are and should be.We welcome all to visit and join with us in these very pertinent and interesting discussions of Charlotte and our state and what the future may and will bring. We all, need to be aware what's going to effect us all in the present climate. Now, more than ever we all must partake in the things that will effect us, our children and grandchildren.PLEASE COME AND JOIN WITH US THE FUTURE IS OURS IF WE WILL REACH OUT AND GRAB IT.Meetings are on the 3rd Sunday of the month at the University City Regional Library on W.T.
